Please stop….or do something different with your music. Time after time when I get a new deathcore CD to review the first thing I notice is that everything sounds the same. Every song, every lyric, every breakdown. It is all an interchangeable mush pile. We get it guys, you know how to down-tune your guitars and play an open string in a chugg-a-lugg riff. That does not make the music good. You all sound the fucking same, I might be redundant in saying that but god damn somebody needs to.

Show some song structure, some lyrical motivation. We all know you’re pissed off, want to fight, and/or smoke weed. And quite frankly we don’t care. You guys make music for people to mosh to, obviously. Well i’m burnt out on it. Yes, I am going to see a mostly deathcore show Friday and that’s because I have been an Emmure supporter for many years. At least they add some dubstep, rapping, and sounds in to differentiate from the chugging riffs. Killwhitneydead has so many different styles of songs all tied into deathcore. They incorporate thrash, melodic, death, black, core, power metal, and so many more. A KWD album is a journey through musical genres and one that any deathcore band should use as an example

I did not watch that, just clicked one the one with the most views. Don’t care to watch it, either.

Matthew Kuritz

About Matthew Kuritz

Born in 1989 in a small town in South Carolina, Matthew was raised on metal. His father, a huge KISS and other classic rock/metal fan and his brother wh owas raised during he hay-day of Hair Metal and Grunge, Matthew was made to do this. I digest any and all music that comes my way; not just metal. Metal for me strikes the rebellious, angry, and energizing nerve that no other music can. Metal has the most talent, most feeling, and most power than any kind of music. I am always up for discussing anything and everything involving metal and other music.
