Good God I have fought people and waved the flag that All That Remains has the ability to make decent music and that Phil Labonte has a mind to be a good metal vocalist but holy balls the new song, “Down Through the Ages” is the worst. Phil uses his normal screams but then, holy but then the most auto-tuned vocals to ever come out of ATR begin and you can’t help but sit back and wonder what the hell is going on. It sounds like the band is trying to capture a popier more radio friendly sound of “The Fall of Ideals” but really they just flounder out.
