Do you like Art of Dying? How about acoustic music?
If you said yes to both, you are certainly in for a treat!
Let the Fire Burn was recorded back in 2008 when Art of Dying were still independent on Thorny Bleeder Records. Now that they are signed to Intoxication/Reprise Records, the much anticipated acoustic album has finally been released.
I am admittedly a big fan of Art of Dying, but I’m actually glad that it took a while for this album to be released. With Let the Fire Burn being released a while after Vices and Virtues, we were able to learn the songs in their original form and get over the hype of the album before the acoustic versions were released. However, a surprise about these acoustic songs is some of them have never been released in any form (hence the name, The Lost Acoustic Album), which allows us to really be able to appreciate them without comparing them to another version.
Since I love acoustic music, I think this album is a pretty interesting take on Art of Dying’s music. It’s slow, melodic and it just completely puts me at ease. Make sure to check it out for yourself and see what you think.
I also need to add that if you purchase the physical copy of this album, it comes packaged with a full-length DVD that includes 2 documentaries, tour videos, music videos, photo gallery, and more!
