Disturbed – The Lost Children

Why the fuck am I reviewing Disturbed’s new “B-side” album “The Lost Children?” Yeah, I’m not. I just wanted to say that I can not understand any reason why these songs were b-sides other than not wanting to make the albums any longer than they already were. All of these songs sound IDENTICAL to whatever albums they were recorded for with little to no variation in them. We now know that the band is going on “indefinite hiatus” which means they are breaking up. Thank God.

The only two songs on here that stand a chance of getting listened to are “Midlife Crisis” and “Livin’ After Midnight”, just because they are covers and decent covers at that. They are of course Faith no More and Judas Priest songs, respectively. You have to look at them for what they are though, a mediocre rock band covering two iconic songs from two iconic bands. Disturbed ruins them, be it the music, the shitty Painkiller bit at the beginning of ‘Midnight, or the shitty vocals of Draimam.

The point of all of this is, Disturbed fans will fucking love this and masturbate to it, while nobody else will care. RIP Disturbed. Go buy and good riddance.

Did I mention the Draiman high notes? No? Good.

About Matthew Kuritz

Born in 1989 in a small town in South Carolina, Matthew was raised on metal. His father, a huge KISS and other classic rock/metal fan and his brother wh owas raised during he hay-day of Hair Metal and Grunge, Matthew was made to do this. I digest any and all music that comes my way; not just metal. Metal for me strikes the rebellious, angry, and energizing nerve that no other music can. Metal has the most talent, most feeling, and most power than any kind of music. I am always up for discussing anything and everything involving metal and other music.
