Who doesn’t love a good cover? Especially when it comes so far out of left field that you can’t help but give it the attention it deserves. That’s just what you get with Kendra Morris’s genre shifting take on “Ride The Lightning.” Having never heard of this songstress, she has definitely caught my attention with this unique cover. This isn’t entirely new as Macy Gray did a pretty stellar job with “Nothing Else Matters,” but it still kicks ass in super soulful way.
Apparently this is part of a project she’s doing where she releases a cover every Tuesday until her debut album Banshee releases on August 28th. Check it out:
