Ides Of Gemini Updates

First off, it must be said that Ides Of Gemini’s music isn’t for everybody.  Especially not the typical metalhead.  They aren’t heavy in the conventional sense, but they can most definitely be called so.  In a dark and oppressive sense they are extremely heavy.  They’re blend of haunting beauty and airy music creates a ton of atmosphere that can make you forget where you are.  Perhaps even who you are for a while.  Don’t be afraid to veer off the beaten path and check them out.  You may find the experience quite rewarding.

Obelisk has premiered a track from Ides Of Gemini’s massive upcoming album Constantinople.  Check out “Slain In Spirit” here.

They recently ran a kvlt as fvck pre-order package that, from what I understand, is already sold out.  It was limited to just 33 and included Constantinople on CD, stickers, and a handmade candle created by vocalist Sera Timms.  In three of the candles is a crystal that, once the candle is burned down, can be retrieved and sent to the band to claim some other killer items.  Pretty damn cool.  Seeing as it’s already sold out we’ll all just have to wait for the hipster as hell vinyl edition.

The band played alongside Behemoth, The Devil’s Blood, In solitude, and Watain last night on the Los Angeles stop of the Decibel Magazine Tour for what must have been one hell of a show.  They are also scheduled to play the Scion Rock Fest which is shaping up to be a pretty badass event.  They’ll play at the Ritz Theater in Tampa, Florida with the likes of  Sleep, Merzbow, Church of Misery, All Pigs Must Die, and others.
