Yeah, yeah, you can give me shit for liking Celldweller, but I really don’t care. I can justify this guilty pleasure of mine, and I will whole-heartedly defend it. Klayton a.k.a. Celldweller is a modern musical genius of sorts. He can seamlessly blend together several genres utilizing the synthetic and organic. I was a big fan of 2003′s self-titled release, and I have wondered since when exactly a proper second full-length would see the light of day. Well, it’s soon to do just that. Wish Upon A Blackstar, the sophomore Celldweller album, will see release on June 12th. ”Unshakeable” was just released from the album and gives a peek into what we can expect from this release. Things are looking good so far. I’ll have a review of the entire album up soon. In the meantime check out “Unshakeable.”
Also, if you feel Celldweller doesn’t have very metal intentions then you should check out this “War Pigs” mashup. He’s even done remixes for bands such as Asking Alexandria and Motionless In White.
