Pig Destroyer Finally Recording Their Fifth Full-Length Album

Pig Destroyer fans rejoice!  After five long years Pig Destroyer has entered the studio to begin work on their highly anticipated next album.  The album will be recorded at guitarist Scott Hull’s Visceral Sounds Studios and feature 19 tracks of their trademark grind.  The as-of-yet untitled album is to be a return to raw, primitive sound.

This time around Adam Jarvis of Misery Index will be beatin’ the skins.  Scott Hull commented on the new addition:

“Tracking the drums happened this week and I’m honestly amazed at how Adam stepped up to the task of learning some challenging shit outside of his standard comfort zone.  He came into the studio ready to destroy and destroy he did. And in the haze of long studio hours he never settled for a bad take.  He’s a real soldier.  Adam has helped breathe new life into the band and we feel like we are starting fresh.  Everyone here is excited for people to check out the new jams.”

We’ll be sure to keep you up to date as new details arise on the latest from Pig Destroyer.

And now here’s a look at what won’t be the new album cover:
