Set to be released tomorrow, July 31st, “Sins” is the second full-length album from bluesy rockers Charm City Devils. After the release of the first single, “Man of Constant Sorrow” I had little hope for this album because I don’t like that cover very much at all. However, after listening to the other tracks, I am quite surprised with the album as a whole. These guys incorporate hard rock, blues, and country/folk elements into each song which allows them to be able to convey strong emotions while still having a beat that you can tap your feet and nod your head to. If you haven’t heard these guys before, make sure not to start with the first single like I did because it doesn’t give off the right impression of this album. If you have heard the single already, make sure to still give the album a chance because I’m sure you’ll be surprised just like I was.

Released on July 17th, “Wasted Youth” is following three prior full-length releases from For The Fallen Dreams. I fell a little behind with getting this album review to you guys, but I knew many of you would see them on the 2012 All Stars Tour and would want to know a little more about their new songs. This 44 minute, 13 track album lost my attention about half-way through. Even though each song wasn’t what I would call bad, the tracks just didn’t do much for me. As with many Deathcore bands, I just don’t find anything within the album that makes me want to go back for more. I’m sure if you are a big fan of this genre, you will love this album. Unfortunately for me, it fell short.
Here is the new video for “Resolvent Feelings”…it will give you a good idea of what the album has to offer.

After releasing two-full length albums that rose to extreme popularity in the hard rock world with 6 top ten singles (2 of which reached the top spot), Saving Abel is back for more with their newest release, “Bringing Down The Giant.” After releasing the title track as the first single from the album as well as a video to accompany it, I’m sure there were a lot of people waiting in anticipation for the album to be released. I must admit, I was in the group of excited fans especially after the second single “New Loser” was released because I liked it as well. I have always enjoyed the raspy vocals of Jared Weeks even though some of the lyrics don’t really impress me. For this album, I found myself getting into several of the tracks while a few others were a little too much like a Country song for my taste. Overall, I still like these guys and I like the new tracks they have to offer us.
