Many of you would know him as the drummer from Lordi as he went under the alias of “Otus.” According to Loudwire he passed away yesterday at the age of 38. No cause of death has been revealed as of the time of this post. The quote from the Official Lordi website:
“Our dear friend and band mate, “Otus” Tonmi Lillman, has sadly passed away. He will be greatly missed and we send our condolences to his family and friends. Otus: we thank You from the bottom of our hearts for the short time we got to know you and spend with you together.
Rest in peace, friend.”
At Metal Delirium Lordi isn’t one of our favorite bands, but we damn sure do like them and their music. Lillman apparently replaced former drummer Kita in 2010 who was fired after revealing his identity. It’s always a damn shame to lose somebody in the metal family, especially one with so much for life to live.
