I actually just found out about Restless Streets, thanks to our friend Mike from Earshot Media. After listening to their new 4-song EP, ‘In, And Of Myself’ I am so glad that I got the opportunity to write this review.
Restless Streets is a progressive post-hardcore band from Albany, NY, and their new EP was just released on Tuesday. Each of these tracks is fast and heavy with only a few clean vocals here and there; which is great because I’m tired of all the whining, I just want some real screams! In the email I received about this band, I feel that they summed up what Restless Streets is in one perfect sentence: “The outfit collages meaningful introspective lyrics with heavy dynamic musicianship to create a beautifully brutal mosaic of sound.” Now if that doesn’t peak your interest, I don’t know what will!
Make sure to check these guys out! If you’re a post-hardcore fan, or you just love heavy music in general, you will certainly not be disappointed!
Now I just have to sit back and wait until these guys release a new full-length album!
