If you haven’t noticed already I’ve quickly grown to become a fan of Norwegian noise miscreants Barren Womb. Their split 7″ with Forræderi instantly had me hooked on the band’s raw blend of several genres into one giant melting pot of chaos. They fuse punk, rock and roll, hardcore, black metal, and whatever other genres tickle their fancy at any given moment into a massive ticking time bomb ready to explode through your speakers. I’ve heard some early material from their upcoming EP they have set for a September 14th release, and I promise it doesn’t disappoint. It’s called On the Origin of Fæces and it features eight vicious tracks that promise to kick your teeth in.
Not long ago, Barren Womb released the track “I Have A Hobbit To Support” from the EP, and now they have unleashed another killer tune for your listening pleasure. This one’s “Pink Funeral,” and hopefully it’ll help slake your thirst until the release of On the Origin of Fæces.
