Stream and Download the new Auroch song “From Forgotten Worlds”

That’s right Metal Delirium has gotten their hands on the new album from death metal titans Auroch and thanks to Asher Media we are here to offer you a stream and download of the title track off the new album From Forgotten Worlds” Stoked right? I sure as hell am I. This album encompasses everything I love about death metal. Fast, brutal, melodic, in your face, and interesting. In a year that I have been down on the genre Auroch has gotten it right!

From the opening track that you can download below to the final track this album is fantastic from start to finish. A quote from the press release sums it up perfectly:

Showcasing the band’s metamorphoses from thrash metal band into a full-fledged death metal assault, the debut full-length album is “raw, relentless and tapping into a musical current of the wrath of Lovecraft’s Ancient Ones. Any and all who question or condemn modern conventions should sympathize with the ideologies and mythos provided. Fans of barbaric blasting and technical shredding should associate with the musicality” says Montesi.

That is of course from Sebastian Montesi who performs lead vocals, guitar, and bass. You can hear that thrash influence in the music and that really steps up the death metal game. I always feel like the death metal bands that are influenced by that genre tend to appeal to me more. Songs like Terra Akeldama”  and the title track really get that feel across more than the other tracks do. I can’t help but love the vocals of Montesi, from his deep growls to his throaty screams he has the voice that I love in death metal. He has control over his voice and uses it at the proper moments.

For a band that I have never listened to before this album I can safely say I have been missing out. The death metal genre in 2012 to me has grown stagnant but Auroch has shone through. Combining death, thrash, and even some groove metal into a downright death metal masterpiece that all fans of the genre will enjoy. Many, many great things to come in the future for this young band.

About Matthew Kuritz

Born in 1989 in a small town in South Carolina, Matthew was raised on metal. His father, a huge KISS and other classic rock/metal fan and his brother wh owas raised during he hay-day of Hair Metal and Grunge, Matthew was made to do this. I digest any and all music that comes my way; not just metal. Metal for me strikes the rebellious, angry, and energizing nerve that no other music can. Metal has the most talent, most feeling, and most power than any kind of music. I am always up for discussing anything and everything involving metal and other music.
