It’s that time of year again metalheads/hard rockers! The voting is open for the 2012 Revolver Golden God Awards. WWE Wrestler/Fozzy frontman Chris Jericho will be handling the hosting duties for the third year in a row. Their will be eleven categories this year featuring ‘Best Guitarist’, ‘Best Drummer’, ‘Best Live Band’, ‘Most Metal Athelete’, and more.
KISS vocalist/bassist/entrepreneur Gene Simmons will be the recipient of the 2012 GOLDEN GOD AWARD. This is what he had to say: “It’s an honor and privilege to accept the Golden God Award. A God is only as powerful as the faithful who worship him. Signed GOD OF THUNDER.”
Performances will include Slash, Black Veil Brides, Marilyn Manson, and more.
The best part about the award show this year? You won’t have to watch the one hour long VH1 Special that condenses the show into BS. It will be streaming on XBOX LIVE and the XBOX and Revolver Facebook pages. So for the first time we will get to watch the only real metal/hard rock award show in America in it’s entirety, LIVE. I for one am excited about that! The show will take place Wednesday, April 11 at Club Nokia in Los Angeles.
